I recently moved into a house with two great friends and we embarked on a house painting together. We decided on a three panel painting of poppies with each of us taking ownership of one panel. It is still in progress and will be posting the final image upon completion.

My roommates claim they are not artists but I say everyone is an artist in their own right and I could not be more pleased and excited to see it coming together. It is just beautiful!

Welcome to the In the Mood Designs Blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing whats new in the world of In the Mood Designs. This is my first blog post and I could not be more excited to start sharing with others what I have been up too.

My name is Chelsea Moody and about a year ago I started to develop my own business consisting of creating invitations, announcements, stationary, and commissioned fine art. It has been quite an adventure so far and I cannot wait to see where it all leads.

I just recently finished a project for a Kappa convention boutique consisting of various individual cards, photo card packs, and wood block fleur de lis paintings. I had a blast coming up with the design for each and cannot wait to see how it all turns out!

With that project done, I am now putting all my efforts back into a painting I have been working on for a few months now. It is both nerve racking and exciting having commissioned artwork on my plate. Its a totally different feeling knowing that a painting I am working on is actually going to be placed in someones home. But I am thrilled with how it is coming along and hope that the client will feel the same way once completed.
